This is going to be quite a long post. But for those who choose to stick around to the very end, I hope my experience will be helpful or serve as a cautionary tale to you in your own surgical journey.

After years of reading this forum I decided to finally bite the bullet and get eyelid surgery this year. Dr Hwang is at the top of my list as I like the work that he does and he seems to have good reviews here but he and the clinic are not discussed here as much as others are. I was wondering if anyone has any experience or any information about him and the clinic.
Also does anyone have any clinic recommendations for clinics that do dramatic eye surgery?

Hi everyone,

I recently got a non-incisional double eyelid surgery with epicanthoplasty in Seoul. I researched A LOT on English and Korean sites to get an overview of what the situation is like. I just wanted to give back to PurseForum by giving my thoughts as I was a silent reader all throughout the process.

One thing is for sure: The clinics that are recommended by foreigners and the clinics recommended by Koreans are WAY different.

I currently have monolids and honestly have never been SUPER SUPER unhappy with them, but I’ve been hearing about mutual friends around me getting very small DES surgery (around 2/3 mm) which creates a sok ssangapul look. It makes the eyes appear larger while also not drastically altering the eyes. Have anyone of y’all heard about this or gone through with it yourself? Do you guys have any recommendations on clinics to get this done at? (:

I'm thinking of getting incisional ptosis correction and incisional DES once it's safe to travel again, be it next year or the year after; but since I've got so much time on my hands I've decided to ask around and get some quotes :biggrin:

I've been messaging ITEM and since they have a few surgeons that do ptosis correction, I showed them some of their before and after photos and asked them which surgeon did them. Dr. Chung is well known and seems to be reputable in the purseforum...

Hey everyone,

I am very interested in brow bone reduction surgery and hoping to find a clinic in Korea or possibly Taiwan. I am cisgender female (western features) but the angle of my brow bone compared to my nose gives a masculine and sunken-eye appearance. I had hoped rhinoplasty, lots of botox/fillers, and giving an illusion of a raised brow with brow microblading (tattoo) would help, but it didn’t give as much of a feminine result as I wished.

So far, most of the ffs and brow bone...

Hi guys

I got incisional des back in 2017, absolutely loved the results for the first year - my eyes were kinda swollen then, so my eyes looked bigger
Now the swellings gone down, they’ve lowered
Does anyone know procedures where I can increase the ‘puffiness’ rather than get revisional? Because it will be puffy and go down again and look ‘thin’ if you guys get what I mean. I was looking into a forehead lift to make more eyelid shown
